Anejo Gold D. G. 3/8" Minus Prices Per Sample Southern California Quarry
Anejo Gold D. G. is s 3/8" minus crushed rock granite fines material that has an appealing gold tone color. Similar to decomposed granite, Anejo Gold D. G. makes an excellent groundcover in gardens and landscapes. This material also compacts down very well with being spreading by just a landscape rake and then compacted with a sod roller. It can be made more solid or into a harder surface for ADA compliant pathways, outdoor patio areas, utility areas or light duty driveways with Dee Gee Pathway Binder & Stabilizer or equal.
The strong gold color of Anejo Gold D. G.
is an ideal gold color DG material for many landscapes in Central and Southern California since it is quarried in large amounts and has a very affordable price point. This product offers superior compaction due to the ratio of small rock chips to fines per ton of material.
Whether for driveways, pathways, patios, utility landscape areas or to surround trees, crushed stone or decomposed granite can be a versatile material that prevents weed growth, maintain even soil moisture and makes an outdoor space more appealing. These two are not the same material, though. Decomposed granite has a natural coarse look to it, while crushed stone products tend to be more flat and have a higher amount of fine material. Crushed stone products, granite, sandstone, limestone, and others offer a greater array of natural colors to work with than most true decomposed granite materials.
Decomposed Granite and Crushed Stone Fines are not the same materials. Decomposed granite has a natural coarse look to it with irregular round quartz pebbles. Crushed stone products tend to be more flat and have a higher amount of fine material. Crushed stone products, granite, sandstone, limestone and others offer a greater array of natural colors to work with than most true decomposed granite materials.
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet. In most cases, we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very in-accurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend on the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips, and or dumps were made in loading the truck? Architects, public agencies, contractors, and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, amount and date needed, and buyers' contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons. Decomposed granite, crushed rock, gravel, sand, and similar materials are typically hauled in; Truck n Transfers from 24 to 26.5 tons, End-dumps from 24 to 25 tons Bottom and Side Dumps 25 tons Super-10's from 10 to 17 tons
