Bighorn Creek Flagstone Montana quarried stone This is a BIG BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL STONE. A brilliant mixture of sunset colors on this Montana flagstone made up of gold, reddish and yellow tones and a pinch of grey mixed with a beautiful sparkle of mica and quartz specs on it's surface. A very showy stone. Bighorn Creek products should not be installed on or near a water feature or pool. Bighorn Creek products contain a certain amount of iron, thus bleeding may occur. Bighorn Creek products must be cleaned with a cement or stone cleaner and allowed to dry completely. Masons must be very careful not to mix too much lime or calcium in their mortar mix to avoid “bleeding”. Masons should seal Bighorn Creek after it is set in mortar. There is always going to be slight variance of square footage from pallet to pallet even if the weights are similar. The square foot coverage per ton of flagstone will vary with each project. Designs of the project, the average stone thickness, size of joints, pattern cuts, waste etc. will effect area coverage.

Prices Per Pound, Per Ton and Per Cubic Yard In most cases we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very in-accurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips and or dumps were made in loading the truck? Stone is sold by the pound when it is hand selected at a higher price than stone sold in full pallets which are sold by the ton at a lower price. Prices will vary from location to location due to the cost of hauling it from the quarry.Flagstone and Building Stone TruckingArchitects, public agencies, contractors and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, amount and date needed and buyers contact information. Flagstone Shipping Flagstone is transported on bobtail cargo trucks and trucks with flatbeds. Lift gate and forklift deliveries are available for unloading the stone. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities up to 22 to 24 tons.
