Blue Moon D. G. The saying "once in a blue moon" applies really well to this Northern California material, a crushed stone fine material that is an excellent hardscape, utility area, and light vehicle pathway material. This material is bluer than our Blue Decomposed Granite but is a crushed stone fine, so a slightly different texture. Samples of the two are available. It is processed in: 1/4" minus - a great D.G. like material 3/8" minus - a great D.G. like material 3/8" screened - very attractive nearly pure gravel 3/4" screened sizes - very clean and attractive large-scale gravel 4" minus, rip rap and boulders. This "screened" gravel does not contain the large number of fines the "minus" screen grade does. The screened material is about 90% 3/8" gravel and offers a very clean look for planter beds.
