Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet. In most cases, we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very inaccurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend on the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up, and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips, and or dumps were made in loading the truck? Architects, public agencies, contractors, and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, the amount and date needed, and the buyer's contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons. Decomposed granite, crushed rock, gravel, sand, and similar materials are typically hauled in; Truck n Transfers from 24 to 26.5 tons, End-dumps from 24 to 25 tons Bottom and Side Dumps 25 tons Super-10's from 10 to 17 tons

Product Specifications and Uses
Boulder Material Prices.
We sell boulder materials by the pound or by ton. Smaller boulders that are listed as "each" have been given an average weight factor to arrive at that price. These boulders have also been hauled from near and distant quarries and inventoried at one of our yard rocks. Then the material has been hand-selected for sale, those prices reflect our investment in that process. Boulders sold per ton are weighed.
Material listed for sale in Truck Load units is deeply discounted since it is hauled directly from the quarry to the job site.
We want to earn your purchase, if you have an order that you want a bid on, then select your materials through the web or email over a bid list and we work hard to provide the same or better materials for the lowest possible price.
Boulders, Stones, Cobble, and Rip Rap are effective in creating scale, color, and texture contrast in open landscapes, dry and wet creek features, waterfalls, and ponds. Boulders, Stones, Cobble, and Rip Rap are also very effective at steering foot traffic away from primary plantings to prevent damage to plants and worn-out sections of the landscape.
Small boulders are easily moved with basic hand-pushed landscape equipment. Most boulders that are 2-1/2 feet or smaller can be easily handled by 2 or 3 healthy men or a small tractor. Work with boulders larger than 3 feet is likely to include some use of a tractor and skilled landscape construction staff. We offer boulder placement and equipment operating services in many locations, contact us for more information.
