Gold Decomposed Granite & Oyster Shell Bocce Ball Court Blend - Dry Climate Supersack
Packed in 2,000 pound SuperEarthsacks - Covers 120 square feet
The installation of an Italian Bocce Ball Court provides an excellent way to spend afternoons and evenings having back yard fun with family and friends.
Traditionally Bocce Ball courts are covered with a 2 to 3 inch layer of crushed oyster shell spread that has been blended with decomposed granite or crushed stone fines. After that has been done a layer of finely crushed oyster shell flour is often applied. We supply all of these materials for court installations and for seasonal maintenance.
We offer two different Bocce Ball Court Oyster Shell Blends, a dry climate (DC) and a wet climate (WC).
Wet Climate Blend
The Bocce Ball Court Oyster Shell Blend WC is ideal for regular rainfall climates such most northern portions of California and Pacific Northwest, Upper Midwest and other regions where regular to heavy rainfall requires a light blend that will not become hard and compacted. The Wet Climate blend is slightly more expensive since it contains a high percentage of crushed oyster shells to lesson compaction that would otherwise result from regular or heavy periods of rainfall.
Dry Climate Blend
The Bocce Ball Court Oyster Shell Blend DC is ideal for dry climates, like most of California, the Western and Southwest States. The Dry Climate blend is less expensive since a lower amount of crushed oyster shell is required to maintain desirable court conditions.

Bocce Court Oyster Shell Spread
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet.
In most cases we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very in-accurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips and or dumps were made in loading the truck?Architects, public agencies, contractors and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should
E-mail us with material specifications, amount and date needed and buyers contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons.
