Catalina Cove Boulders often arrive more grey-green than true green. The minerals in the rock will oxidize in the sunlight over time and the whole rock will turn to a true light to medium green color.
Always Know What You Are Paying For
In most cases, we charge by the ton and drivers often have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very inaccurate amounts in the trucks. The actual loaded quantities depend on the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up, and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips, and or dumps were made in loading the truck?
Architects, public agencies, contractors, and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, the amount and date needed, and the buyer's contact information. For boulder and heavy rock hauling, we typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 10 to 25 tons.
Loads of decorative boulders, rip rap, and rock ruble are typically moved with;
End-dumps from 10 to 25 tons - loose bulk-loaded material or limited amounts of specimen material
Super-10's from 10 to 17 tons - loose bulk loaded material or limited amounts of specimen material
Flatbeds from 1 to 24 tons - palletized specimen boulders, pallet cribs with rock ruble or small boulders, and pallet wire baskets with the ruble

Product Samples
California Building Material Supply believes that for most consumers and end users of these landscaping or building material products, the best location to view most of these products is at the actual site where they are going to be used. This is particularly true for existing homes and commercial locations that are being renovated or re-landscaped. Samples of most materials can be delivered and evaluated by you on-site for you to make the most informed choice possible. Materials are sold per the specification of the stone type, product brand, and basic sizes.
Samples are shipped via United States Postal Service, Priority Mail. We can get about 16 pounds of material into a large flat-rate box. Samples are sent with an invoice on Net 10-Day Terms. When ordering your samples use the Purchase Order function at checkout and enter SAMPLES. This will allow you to make a purchase without having to pay for the samples at that time.
