It is our experience that true decomposed granite materials do not require any stabilizer or binding agents, except under the most extreme of Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance circumstances.
We do not believe there any independent empirical evidence that supports the substantial cost to public benefit use the various binders and stabilizer materials, except under the most extreme ADA Compliance conditions.
That said, we are here to service the needs our customers and many public works and some private construction contracts require stabilized decomposed granite materials to be installed for ADA Compliance conditions.
Decomposed Granite which has been blended with a natural, non-toxic, water activated binder to provide a durable, permeable, natural aggregate surface. Stabilized surfaces such as pedestrian, equestrian paths, driveways and parking areas are an environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing alternative to other paving surface materials. The stabilizing agent binds and locks decomposed granite particles together producing a durable natural aggregate surface.
