Red Pearl Bocce Blend - Sample
For those players who are in a particular use or want to have large to full size 13 x 91-foot courts with a hard and high-speed playing surface. The installation of an Italian Bocce Ball Court provides an excellent way to spend afternoons and evenings having backyard fun with family, friends, and business associates.
A premium custom blend with California's finest gold decomposed granite, Golden Queen 1/4" minus D. G. and exclusive marine composted oyster flour. Traditionally Bocce Ball courts are covered with a 2 to 3-inch layer of crushed oyster flour spread that has been blended with decomposed granite in a very fine 1/4" minus screen size. In regions with high spring and summer rainfall, it is advisable to use a greater percentage of oyster flour and washed concrete sand for improved drainage and ease of maintenance. After installing the playing surface, a layer of finely crushed oyster shell flour is often applied.
The role that oyster flour plays in bocce court surface mixtures is to keep the decomposed granite from binding together becoming extremely hard and unworkable for grooming. The oyster flour keeps the decomposed granite from completely binding together. Through the normal course of play; ruts, troughs, and material displacement takes place. Our decomposed granite oyster flour blend is in the traditional Italian bocce ball court surface formula. When groomed out it makes a smooth solid surface to play on. When play is completed it makes for an easy surface to quickly renovate. We are also able to ship all of the other materials needed for installation and maintenance to you. Installation and maintenance services are available. Free rental tools are available to assist with the installation. A detailed Spec Sheet is given below:
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet. In most cases, we charge by ton and have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have wildly inaccurate amounts in the trucks. Charges depend on the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips, and or dumps were made in loading the truck? Architects, public agencies, contractors, and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, the amount and date needed, and the buyer's contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons. Decomposed granite, crushed rock, gravel, sand, and similar materials are typically hauled in; Truck n Transfers from 24 to 26.5 tons, End-dumps from 24 to 25 tons Bottom and Side Dumps 25 tons Super-10's from 10 to 17 tons Flatbed trucks from 22 to 24 tons

Product Specifications and Uses
Bocce Ball Court Pro Oyster Flour & Decomposed Granite Blends We offer two different Bocce Ball Court Oyster flour Blends, a dry climate (DC) and a wet climate (WC). The Bocce Court Pro Bocce Ball Court Oyster Flour Blend materials are ideal for the climates they are mixed for. While the materials are at different ratios the application rates are the same
Wet Climate Blend The Bocce Ball Court Oyster flour Blend WC is ideal for regular rainfall climates such as most northern portions of California and the Pacific Northwest, the Upper Midwest, and other regions where regular to heavy rainfall requires a light blend that will not become hard and compacted. The Wet Climate blend is slightly more expensive since it contains a high percentage of crushed oyster flour to lessen compaction that would otherwise result from regular or heavy periods of rainfall.
Dry Climate Blend The Bocce Ball Court Oyster shell Blend DC is ideal for regular rainfall climates like most of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and West Texas. The Dry Climate blend is less expensive since a lower amount of crushed oyster shell is required to maintain desirable court conditions.
One Ton of Red Bocce Ball Decomposed Granite Typically Covers: 120 square feet at a 2" depth - Good coverage and compaction results 90 square feet at a 3" depth - good and long-term coverage, great compaction results
