Trout Creek Stone, a hugely popular building stone in the early 2000s, and through the building boom, it fell victim to the hard times afterward. The quarry had limited production for years but recently is back in good production. With new ownership and updated equipment, this hugely popular stone is available in many cuts and sizes. The new run includes amazing fountain boulders, unlike anything ever seen before. Trout Creek Stone is a rock with potpourri colors, brought out in beautiful unpredictable earthen tones, the colors are primarily browns, tans, hints of green, hints of purple, and hints of orange.
Flagstone is priced by the pound, we can deliver this flagstone in any quantity you need for installing a flagstone walkway or patio.
This fine-grained sandstone can be used for flagging or paving walks, driveways, and patios. It can also be used as a wall stone or as a stone veneer. Our stone is delivered on pallets and we offer both select and patio grades. This stone is also available in ledge material, saw cut material, and sometimes as boulders.
There is always going to bea slight variance of square footage from pallet to pallet even if the weights are similar. The square foot coverage per ton of flagstone will vary with each project. Designs of the project, the average stone thickness, size of joints, pattern cuts, waste, etc. will affect area coverage.
Tons vs. Yards and Square Feet.
In most cases we charge by the ton and we have the receipts from the scale house at the quarry to show upon request. Materials sold by the yard tend to have very in-accurate amounts in the trucks. Amounts depend the size of the loader bucket, how well the material was scooped up and who was supervising the loading of the truck. Scale House totals don't lie, so why take a chance on losing money and time with how many square feet, scoops, skips and or dumps were made in loading the truck?
Architects, public agencies, contractors and owner-builders requiring a competitive bid for the materials and transport costs should E-mail us with material specifications, amount and date needed and buyers contact information. We typically employ trucks with carrying capacities ranging from 17 to 26.5 tons.

Product Samples
California Building Material Supply believes that for most consumers and end users of these landscaping or building material products the best location to view most of these products is at the actual site where they are going be used. This is particularly true for existing homes and commercial locations that are being renovated or re-landscaped. Samples of most materials can be delivered and evaluated by you on site for you to make the most informed choice possible. Materials are sold per the specification of the stone type, product brand and basic sizes.
Samples are shipped via United State Postal Service, Priority Mail. We can get about 16 pounds of material into a large flat rate box. Samples are sent with an invoice on Net 10 Day Terms. When ordering your samples use the Purchase Order function at checkout and enter SAMPLES. This will allow you to make a purchase without having to pay for the samples at that time.

Product Specifications and Uses
Boulders, Stones, Cobble and Rip Rap are effective in creating scale, color and texture contrast in open landscapes, dry and wet creek features, waterfalls, ponds. Boulders, Stones, Cobble and Rip Rap are also very effective at steering foot traffic away from primary plantings to prevent damage to plants and worn out sections of the landscape.
