Bouquet Canyon boulders are California's locally quarried answer to the silver quartzite of the Rocky Mountain and Cascade ranges. The same stone is also sold as Sydney Peak and Hy Desert, so if you have been quoted either of those you are looking at this material. It separates into a few color classes running from silver and charcoal grey through rusty gold overtones and rust brown.
It has one property that sets it apart: the quartzite sparkles in the sun when it is sprinkled or splashed with water. That is why these boulders blend so well with water features, and why they are worth specifying anywhere the stone will get wet from irrigation or spray. Found in the high desert of Southern California. Available in 18" to 24" through 30" to 36" plus hand selected specimens, sold by the piece.
