Sizes are typical mature dimensions in ground; container plants take several seasons to reach them. For anything larger than what is listed, request a quote.

What Contractors Know

Red yucca is not a yucca. The plant people mean is Hesperaloe parviflora, a low flowering perennial. If you want the tall blue rosette, you want Yucca rostrata.
Yucca generally beats agave on cold. At elevation or in an exposed bed, yucca and dasylirion hold where a tender agave will not.
Trunked forms are slow and priced accordingly. A 6 ft Yucca rostrata represents many years. Buy the height you want rather than planning to wait for it.
Nolina is the spineless option. If the bed is beside a path or a play area, Nolina gives similar texture without anything sharp.
Keep top dressing off the caudex. Beaucarnea in particular rots if gravel is piled against the swollen base. Leave it proud and visible.
