PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Black basalt boulders are a dense volcanic stone with a dark charcoal to near-black surface and a fine crystalline texture that catches light differently as it dries. Quarried in the northwestern states and shipped in bulk, basalt is one of the hardest landscape stones available, which is why it holds its edge and its color rather than fading the way softer sedimentary rock does.

Available in seven size classes from 8" - 12" cobble up to Specimen pieces, so the same stone works as bed edging, as a mid-size garden accent, or as a single large basalt rock set as a focal point. Priced by the pound, so the cost follows the actual stone rather than a size bracket.
