K-Rail and Jersey barrier are the same product family: the sloped face concrete barriers used to separate traffic, close lanes, protect work zones and control site access. K-Rail is the California term and Jersey barrier is the national one, so a plan set may call for either and mean this.
The sloped profile is engineered, not decorative. A vehicle striking it is redirected up the face and back into its lane rather than stopped dead. Sold by the unit at 5, 10, 12 and 20 foot lengths, which lets you close a specific gap without cutting. Concrete barriers are also routinely used off the roadway for parking control, yard and lot security, and to protect equipment or storage from vehicle traffic. This is a heavy freight item, delivered or picked up at the yard.
