Add up the wattage before choosing a transformer

A low voltage transformer is rated in watts, and the total draw of every fixture on the run has to sit under that rating. Aquascape publishes the wattage per fixture, so the sum is straightforward once you have the figures. Leave headroom, because lighting is the thing people add to rather than finish: a transformer bought exactly to today's total means a new transformer the first time you want one more light on the path. Cable length matters as well, since a long run drops voltage, and the splitters and extension cables in this group are what keep the layout tidy.

Warm white or color changing

Warm white reads as natural and is what most people end up leaving on, because it makes wet rock and moving water look like wet rock and moving water. Color changing fixtures give you the option of something else for an evening, run off their own controller, and are the usual choice where the feature is a centerpiece for entertaining rather than a quiet corner of the yard. Where to aim a pond light
