Upload a Photo and Design Your Yard Free

Decomposed granite yard surface

You do not need software, a deposit, or an appointment to start. With ESR's AI Landscape Visualizer you upload one photo of your yard, describe the look you want, and get a free redesign that keeps your house the same and shows a before-and-after. It is free to use; you enter an email to run it and also get ESR updates. Then it lists the real ESR materials in the design so you can order.

The whole thing hinges on one good photo. Get that right and the rest is easy.

All you need is one good photo

No special camera. A phone is fine. The goal is a clear, honest picture of the space you want to change so the AI has something solid to work from. One photo per area is enough to generate a design and a materials list.

How to take a useful photo

  • Frame the whole area. Stand back far enough to capture the full yard or the section you want to redo.
  • Keep the house or fence in view. The AI uses your structures as the fixed reference it keeps the same, so include them.
  • Shoot in even light. Overcast skies or open shade beat harsh midday sun, which throws strong shadows and blown-out spots.
  • Hold the phone level. Shoot straight on, around chest height, rather than tilted up or down.
  • Clear the clutter. Move cars, trash cans, hoses, and toys out of frame so they do not land in the design.

What you get back

After you upload and describe the look, the tool returns:

  • A before-and-after slider with your house and structures kept the same and only the yard redesigned.
  • A short written summary of the design idea.
  • A "Materials in this design" list of the real ESR products it used.
  • A shoppable bill of materials with pricing once you enter your yard's length and width, so you can add it all to cart or request a quote.

Free, with an honest caveat

The tool costs nothing and is built to help you decide before you spend. Keep in mind the result is AI-generated concept imagery for planning, not a construction or grading plan. It will not solve drainage, slope, permits, or structural walls. For those, treat the AI design as your starting brief and bring in a professional for the build. We lay out that line in AI vs hiring a landscape designer.

From photo to finished order

Once you like a version, the materials list tells you exactly what to buy, whether that is decomposed granite, landscape rock, or boulders. Double-check quantities with the coverage calculator, then add to cart or request a quote for a larger or farther job. If you want the full walkthrough first, read how to design your yard with AI.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free to design my yard?

Yes. The AI Landscape Visualizer is free to use. You enter an email to run it and also get ESR updates.

How many photos do I need?

One clear photo of the area you want to redesign is enough. Use a separate photo for each area you want to work on.

What makes a good photo?

A well-lit, level shot that frames the whole area, keeps your house or fence in view, and has clutter moved out of frame.

Will it keep my house in the photo the same?

Yes. The AI redesigns only the yard and keeps your house and existing structures the same.

What do I do after I get the design?

Enter your yard's length and width for a materials list with pricing, then add the materials to cart or request a quote.
